Are you familiar with Maury? Do you know about the dramatic garrigue landscape, Catalan influence and varieties of wines, many of which spend time baking in the sun? Or its newest appellation called Maury Sec?

Located in tiny Roussillon (Languedoc-Roussillon), Maury is even smaller. Because many people know other wine regions or cities in France, this map helps to pinpoint the location in the larger scheme of things.

Looking forward to the conversation even if I can’t participate this month. Your photos make me want to visit in person, taking in the beauty of the landscape!

The group thanks you Allison! Hope you’re able to find a bottle or two there. If you’re port drinkers, try a Maury Tuilé (VDN).
