This is a black fruited wine! One swirl and sip shares that fruit and also forest floor, dusty gravel and tobacco. It’s pleasing to drink with its medium frame- acid, body and length. It wants to outshine the Swiss Chard and Broccoli Risotto- with aged goat cheese melted in, fine Grano Padana on top and lardons in every bite- yet the earthy flavors of both meld leaving my palate happy. #thursdaynightwine
